"For 2013 we’re challenging you to commit to photographing at least one
choice image a week, for all 52-ish weeks. Yes, you may end up
photographing more than just one a week. However, we’re hoping that
you’ll do some self-critiquing and submit to us all, just one."

I think I'll try this one.

I love my baby more than life but ever since I had him, I feel trapped like a rat. Which makes me feel guilty.

I don't know if its the pregnancy hormones or what but this made me cry like a baby!  Poor kitty :(

"A cat in Turkey tries to help his mate after an car accident. very sad and moving. shows that animala too can care and have love for one another.

This stray cat was filmed in Turkey( Kızılsaray district of Antalya ) trying to reanimate his female friend who got hit by a car. Even though some people tried to help him, the white cat wouldnt let them come near for two straight hours. Finally a vet arrived and took the injured cat. Sadly, it was too late and he couldnt resuscitate the feline."

I haven't heard about this on the news at ALL!

This is a sinkhole that opened up in Guatemala today or yesterday, I'm not sure which.  It's real, NOT shopped!

How scary and sad for these people.  I'll be keeping them in my prayers.

Just found this link from CBS:

and this one from Fox Chicago:

This makes me really sad.  I really do wonder where humanity is going anymore.  This poor man died alone on a sidewalk while people walked past him. Any one of them could have stopped and helped.

Okay, this could get wordy.  First, I do think that everyone deserves basic healthcare.

Why I don't like Obamacare:
-It raises taxes.  I am getting taxed to death already.  Seriously.  Our pay checks get taxes taken out AND THEN we have to pay more taxes on everything we buy.  We even get taxed when we die.  I can't handle too many more taxes.
-It will force Americans to pay for other people's abortions.  I am pro-choice.  I think a woman should be able to make her own choices for her body.  HOWEVER, she should also be RESPONSIBLE for the choices she makes.  If you are stupid enough to have unprotected sex and get pregnant, TAKE CARE OF IT YOURSELF!  I DON’T WANT TO PAY FOR YOUR ABORTION.  And yes, I do understand that accidents happen but most abortions are not accidents.  Abortion is not a form of birth control and this is just going to make that much, much easier.
-It will put the government in charge of more than 18 percent of our private sector economy.
-It may provide benefits to up to 6.1 million illegal immigrants.
-It diminishes liberty and gives government more power.

One group will be hit especially hard – our senior citizens. Seniors have been against this bill from the beginning.  Obamacare cuts a half-trillion dollars in health care for seniors to lay the foundation for socialized medicine.  I work with seniors on a daily basis.  Medicare and the government already make it very difficult for us to care for seniors properly.  With HALF A TRILLION dollars being cut they will scrutinize everything we do.  Did you know that with Obamacare, wound treatment for seniors is going to be pretty much non-existent?  Did you also know that most seniors have an 80% chance of developing a bed sore(wound) from being in a wheelchair, bed bound or because they don’t have the ability to adjust their position as easily as you or I?  Did you know that these same seniors may DIE from these sores if left untreated? Wound care can be very expensive for someone on a fixed income and most of then can’t do it by themselves!  They would need a nurse or an aide to change the dressings which Obamacare will also NOT pay for.  How is this okay?

All women should be concerned for themselves and the future generation of women.  Obamacare is changing the long-time guidelines for breast cancer screening!!  The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force affirmed its recommendation that women 40 and older undergo annual mammograms to check for breast cancer. Since regular mammography became standard practice in the early 1990s, mortality from breast cancer—the SECOND LEADING CAUSE OF CANCER DEATH AMONG AMERICAN WOMEN—has dropped by about 30%, after remaining constant for the prior half-century. But Obamacare is stating that patients under 50 or over 75 without special risk factors NO LONGER NEED SCREENING.  It also recommends AGAINST teaching breast self-examination!  There are thousands upon thousands of stories of women in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are cancer survivors today because of early detection either through breast self-examination or mammography.  It is completely outrageous that the United States of America, with the number one cancer survival rate, would make these recommendations.  This takes me to a whole new level of rage and anger.
I’m not going to pretend that I know everything about this healthcare bill but what I do know is frightening and makes me very angry.  I don't want the government to tell me what I can and can't do with my body.  I WANT MY FREEDOM OF CHOICE BACK!!

I work in the medical field and I had to go somewhere today and help out with their computers. What did I find sitting on the desk?

I just started this book yesterday and I'm loving it! It's about the author who moved to Japan just days after she and her husband were married. Her culture shock is hysterical! She has this bizarre love/hate relationship with her washing machine :D Japan sounds fantastic.
